It is easy to drive between campsites and is a fun lifestyle vehicle with outstanding rock crawling gear, so we included it on our Editors’ Choice list again this year.
Aside from Ford retiring the standard Bronco model, there are no significant changes to the Bronco in 2024. The Bronco has enough options, whether through add-ons or hardware, to handle practically every form of off-roading you can imagine. In its most basic configuration, the Bronco’s ground clearance and standard four-wheel drive enable it to cross most roads easily.
The Sasquatch Bronco package includes some terms and durable off-road hardware if you like slower, more intricate off-roading over boulders. If you enjoy driving as fast as you can over the dirt, the Bronco Raptor adds power shocks, a more powerful engine, and recalibrated stability control to help you achieve your desert dreams.
The new Bronco, now in its fourth year of production, is a truck-based SUV designed for off-road use. It boasts four-wheel drive, good ground clearance, and a range of other features to assist you in crossing rough terrain. It also includes a retractable roof and doors, allowing you to travel topless to enjoy extra sunshine on the road or path.
The most significant change for 2024 is what Ford has deleted from the Bronco. The base Bronco is no longer available for purchase. Therefore, the option now begins with the Big Bend trim level. What’s New?
For 2025, Ford has added a Sasquatch package to the Bronco Sport lineup. The package is available on the Outer Banks and Badlands trims, the former inheriting the dual-clutch rear differential.
Also included in the Sasquatch treatment are dual recovery hooks in the rear and a new steel bumper with a bull bar up front. The Badlands adds Bilstein rear shocks with remote reservoirs; along with steel skid plates and slightly increased ground clearance, there are knobbier 29-inch all-terrain tires.
With its software transitioning from Ford’s Sysnc 3 interface to Sync 4, every Bronco Sport swaps its old 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen for a larger 13.2-inch display. Also, now the standard is a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster.
Ford’s now bundled more standard driver assists than ever, including adaptive cruise control; certain styling changes to the front and rear bumpers help clearly distinguish the 2025 model.

The 2025 Ford Bronco Rumors is in its fourth model year since reintroducing the Ford Bronco nameplate with the sixth generation. Blue Oval’s Jeep Wrangler and Toyota 4Runner-rivaling SUVs are performing well in the US automotive market.
High demand and worldwide supply chain constraints caused Ford Motor Company to discontinue the entry-level Bronco Base trim. Now, access to the lineup begins at the higher $39,130 price point of the 2-Door Bronco Big Bend. The 4-Door starts at $39,870, and there are plenty of variants to select from, including Black Diamond, Heritage Edition, Outer Banks, Badlands, Everglades, Wildtrak, and Heritage Limited Edition (a 4-Door costs more than $71k).
As a result, with two- and four-door variants, a few special editions, and a variety of trimmings, you’d think everyone was satisfied. Even the powertrain options are not awful; the 2.3-liter EcoBoost inline-four turbo can be installed with a seven-speed manual gearbox instead of the 10R60 ten-speed automatic, and there are two EcoBoost V6 possibilities. In terms of flagships, if the 300 and 330-horsepower EcoBoosts aren’t enough, the $89,835 Bronco Raptor has at least 400 hp – and 418 in Baja mode!
However, trouble looms on the horizon. Stellantis has finally upgraded its renowned Jeep Wrangler for the 2024 model year, and it starts at ‘only’ slightly more than $32,000. Furthermore, while the Toyota 4Runner appears to be older than the Earth, it remains a formidable rival, especially if the rumors are true and the Japanese automaker introduces an all-new generation for the 2025 model year.
As a result, Ford could at least mimic Jeep and give a reasonable update for the Bronco for the 2025 model year. But if that doesn’t happen in the real world, don’t worry; the inventive arena of digital automobile content providers has already addressed it—albeit only electronically. The AutomagzPro channel on YouTube has some AI-assisted CGI thoughts about the facelift, which they mix with the long-rumored Ford Bronco Hybrid SUV to make the unofficial announcement even more appealing.
Regarding style, it’s anyone’s guess whether Ford will make any significant changes to the design when it comes time to showcase the mid-cycle update – the channel’s resident pixel master offers at least two distinct options for revised LED headlamps and taillights. The hybrid powertrain has been rumored for a long time, with speculations dating back to 2020.
However, it doesn’t mean the Bronco Hybrid won’t materialize; it could simply borrow the powerplant from the F-150 PowerBoost hybrid, especially since the carmaker is attempting to make it more affordable to a broader range of customers. Alternatively, it might emerge as a magnificent PHEV with the Ranger Plug-in Hybrid configuration to compete with the Jeep Wrangler 4xe.
2025 Ford Bronco Report: Seen in Detroit
Ford has done well with the Bronco Sport, a boxy little crossover built on the same chassis as the Escape, a brand that has been part of the Blue Oval lexicon for more than 25 model years. Meanwhile, the Bronco Sport debuted recently, providing an alternative for those turned off by the Escape’s lozenge-like appearance. After the Escape was just refreshed, it’s time for the Bronco Sport also to get a new appearance.
This test mule, spotted on the streets of Dearborn, Michigan, near the Ford Glass House headquarters, is unmistakably a Bronco Sport, as evidenced by its C-pillar. Camouflage covers the front and back fascias, indicating that stylists have been busy making modest but significant adjustments in certain areas.
Ford plays the nostalgia game well with the Bronco Sport, providing a phalanx of so-called Heritage editions and a Freewheeling trim adorned with the type of sunset-themed striping once available on some Ford trucks. There is every likelihood that such patterns will continue once the refurbished model arrives on dealer lots as a strategy to keep consumer interest when the novelty of the new style wears off.
Those in the know believe the next Bronco Sport will have a slightly more aggressive design, but whether this includes new lights or simply different styling remains to be seen. An egg-crate-like grille stays under the front camouflage, while the taillights appear in the same form as today’s model but with updated LED profiles.
Expect interior changes focusing on the model’s infotainment system, including a larger touchscreen and a redesigned layout for ventilation controls.
The Bronco Sport will likely have a hybrid powertrain at some point, but the dual exhaust pipes on this test car point to a 2.0L EcoBoost engine. An electric option would place the car in competition with comparable-sized competitors that provide such a feature. The base engine is a 1.5L EcoBoost with 181 horsepower, while the 2.0L produces a hefty 250 horsepower.

The Ford Bronco Raptor is a high-performance SUV that far surpasses previous off-roader models in off-road reliability. Of course, this Raptor model generally differs from the standard Bronco version. The Raptor model has a super powerful 418-hp twin-turbo V-6 engine, a Fox suspension system with better off-road capabilities, and 37-inch all-terrain tires for maximum traction.
On the underside, the 2025 Bronco Raptor has several protective skid plates that will help you enjoy the comfort and performance reliability this monster is capable of.
The all-new 2025 Ford Bronco Raptor is expected to continue delivering insane and stubborn performance. Updates to the 3.0L V6 engine developed specifically for the Raptor model focus on the performance of the 10-speed automatic transmission, which is proven to conquer adrenaline-inducing Off-Road terrain.
The 2025 Bronco Raptor is highly desirable, and significant updates have been made to the Raptor HOSS 4.0 system with FOX Valve 3.1 suspension. This system is set up uniquely at the front and rear, supported by several sensors that monitor changes in road terrain. Meanwhile, control arms designed by Ford Performance at the front and rear help generate a maximum wheel acceleration of 13.0 inc front and 14.0 inc rear.

2025 Ford Bronco Sport
The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport is a compact SUV with plenty of off-road capability. While it inherits the name and bold stance of the larger midsize Bronco, it’s more than just a styling statement.
The Bronco Sport’s engine is inspired by the Ford Escape, with an 181-hp turbocharged three-cylinder engine powering the base model. The Ford Bronco has better ground clearance for more modest trail driving and standard all-wheel drive.
While every model can handle some off-roading, some are better suited than others thanks to the Sasquatch package, which comes standard on Outer Banks and Badlands models and comes with a suspension lift, skid plates, and a dual-clutch rear axle.
The Bronco Sport is a no-nonsense SUV for everyday use when not off-grid fun. While competitors like the Honda CR-V and Volkswagen Tiguan offer more rear-seat room, the interior is practical.
The Bronco Sport model will take you places competitors won’t and requires few concessions overall.
Bronco Sport 2025
The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport is a brand launched by Ford authorities that many sports car enthusiasts welcomed. The inevitable passage of time means that the Bronco Sport must be updated soon to continue to exist and deliver its best performance and style.
Bronco Sport is more than just a dressed-up Escape. Available exclusively with all-wheel drive, it also boasts some genuine off-road technology and capabilities, making it one of the toughest compact SUVs when the paved roads end.
The Bronco Sport infotainment system will implement upgrades to the “Ford Sync 4” software and the side of the new 13.2-inch curved screen. The new Ford Digital Experience infotainment system of the Explorer 2025 could be another software possibility.
On the other hand, we expect an upgrade on the off-road model. This is evident when the Bronco Sport model uses Goodyear Wrangler Territory all-terrain tires, which differ from those on the current Bronco Sport Badlands off-road trim. Whether the Badlands trim will be refined or Ford plans to offer another trim above is unclear.
Another exciting side hotly discussed is the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Hybrid. It will likely come with a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder hybrid engine with 191 horsepower, the same power produced by the Bronco Sport’s 1.5-liter turbo base engine.
The Ford Bronco Sport is a small crossover that can conquer terrain and look great. Technology and usable space are also strong points. However, the Bronco Sport struggles to meet expectations in some areas its rivals have long mastered, such as ride comfort, rear passenger space, and convincing steering and braking.

The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport is set for a mid-cycle facelift, which could include a larger touchscreen and a new off-road option. With disguised prototypes prowling the streets, our spy photographer snapped a few intriguing elements that anticipate significant modifications to the baby Bronco.

Larger Touchscreen
The Bronco Sport shares a base with the Ford Escape, which has received numerous changes for the 2023 model year, including a new 13.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The same display, which features Ford’s Sync 4 software, debuted on the new-for-2024 Mustang and now appears to be reaching the Bronco Sport’s dashboard.
The new touchscreen is significantly larger than the 8.0-inch Sync 3 display that is now standard on all Bronco Sport trim levels. While we don’t know, the smaller display will likely stay standard on lower-spec models, as with the Escape series.
The Bronco Sport’s extra-wide touchscreen takes up the space previously occupied by vertically oriented air vents. That means they’ll be shifted lower along the center stack, most likely horizontally. It remains to be seen whether the HVAC controls will be altered.
New Goodyear Wrangler Tyres
As it stands, the Bronco Sport Badlands is the most off-road-focused variant. It now sports Falken WildPeak all-terrain tires in the size of 235/65R-17 and exclusive dirt-specific hardware.
The prototypes we saw had a different sort of A/T rubber, which could indicate that Ford would launch a new model or special edition, possibly dubbed Everglades or Wildtrak. These two models are positioned above the Badlands in Ford’s full-size Bronco lineup.
More specifically, the infant Bronco was equipped with Goodyear Wrangler Territory all-terrain tires, which are the same size as the WildPeak. As with its bigger sibling, the term Wrangler has been deleted from the sidewall to avoid mentioning the Bronco’s rival, the Jeep Wrangler.
Ford has not provided any formal information regarding a Bronco Sport facelift. We expect the improvements to be announced in 2024 for the 2025 model year. Stay tuned.
2025 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands
Last November, Ford Authority discovered what seemed to be a revamped 2025 Ford Bronco Sport model in testing, with the crossover covered in extensive camouflage. This makes sense, given that the rugged crossover launched for the 2021 model year, which means it’s probably due for some revisions. A few weeks later, Ford Authority revealed the first look at the interior of the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport, which includes a few significant improvements. Now, Ford Authority has discovered what appears to be a 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands prototype that is being assessed.
While this potential 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands is once again covered in heavy camo – at least at the front and rear ends – it’s also wearing unpainted versions of the 17-inch Carbonised Grey wheels that come standard with the current Badlands model – which differ from the wheels seen on the prototype above last year. However, this suggests that the earlier prototype could be a new range-topping model that could replace the Badlands in the Bronco Sports portfolio.
We say this because the previous prototype rode slightly higher than the present Badlands and this model and had distinctive wheels and robust tires. As a result, this development could indicate that Ford is considering developing a new, more competent version of the Bronco Sport, possibly one that ranks above the Badlands in the lineup. On the non-Sport Bronco, the model is known as the Bronco Raptor.
Otherwise, we can see the classic round headlights peeking through the camouflage, which is most likely accompanied by some improvements to the lighting, grille, and front bumper, which might also be replicated out the rear with a reworked tailgate, taillight, and bumper design. According to the Ford Authority, the Bronco Sport will continue to be built on the Ford C2 platform until 2030, with a product end date of July 31st, 2031. This 11-year manufacturing life should be bolstered by improvements such as refreshes and redesigns.
2025 Ford Bronco Hybrid
We predict there will be a hybrid type, one of Ford’s efforts to compete with the Wrangler 4xe, where the 2025 Bronco Hybrid will combine a 2.3 liter turbocharged I-4 engine with an electric motor integrated into a 10-speed automatic transmission.
If it’s a plug-in hybrid, expect an all-electric driving range of around 30 miles. We’ll soon find out if the Bronco Hybrid is coming in 2025.
2025 Ford Bronco Pickup
Whether you choose the turbo four-cylinder or the turbo V6, the Bronco offers enough smooth power for daily driving thanks to a quick-shifting 10-speed automatic gearbox. The added power from the V6 makes on-ramps and short merges smoother and more enjoyable. The V6 Bronco accelerates to 60 mph from a stop in 7.3 seconds, an average performance given the enormous tires and four-door design.
Jumping hard on the brakes creates a lot of nosedive, which is expected for off-road SUVs, but emergency stopping distances were much longer than we would have liked. From 60 mph, a panic stop took 146 feet, typical for heavy-duty pickup trucks.
It should be emphasized that our test Bronco was equipped with the Sasquatch off-road package and its hard tires, but previous Broncos we’ve tested with less aggressive rubber stopped only 10 feet shorter, which is still longer than we’d like to see.
The steering is the true standout feature. Because of its independent front suspension, the Bronco’s steering wheel conveys confidence and stability to its driver at motorway speeds. While bumpy roads may not thrill much, you’ll like that the steering on long-distance excursions will not tire you out.
2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe Edition
Despite not undergoing a mid-cycle design change, the sixth-generation Ford Bronco still has plenty of exciting changes for the 2025 model year.
Among the most notable is the newly unveiled 2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe Edition, which essentially replaces the Wildtrak option in the SUV lineup.
In its coverage, Ford Authority informs us that the 2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe Edition is a completely new design, giving us our first real look at a model meant to honor the Bronco’s rich heritage.
The 2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe Edition honors Bill Stroppe, who in 1969 became the first—and only—person to win the Baja 1000 in a factory-built four-wheel-drive vehicle.
It shares the same color scheme as the road-going model that was later sold to the public. Designed as a two-door only, the Bronco Stroppe Edition features steel bumpers, a matte black hood, a Frozen White grille with Code Orange “Bronco,” and Code Orange tow hooks up front.
With squared-off wheel arches, removable side steps with integrated rock rails, and 17-inch beadlock wheels shod in 35-inch Goodyear Territory RT tires, moving down the sides, we can see the custom Stroppe badges.
Along with the Atlas Blue covering the retractable hardtop, we also get a better look at the SUV’s signature paint job—Oxford White and Code Orange on the body. A matte black tailgate, for good measure—a look that prompted Ford to launch a unique retail collection for the Bronco Stroppe Edition as well—completes the changes.
Underneath, the 2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe Special Edition offers a twin-turbo 2.7L V6 EcoBoost engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission as standard, along with a HOSS 3.0 suspension system with Fox internal-bypass dampers and Stabilizer Bar Disconnect.
While the center console displays the Stroppe Special Edition badging, inside the cabin, you’ll find a white instrument cluster along with a variety of Code Orange accents, including Bronco script on the dash, the G.O.A.T. mode button bezel, the interior of the grab handles, and contrast stitching on the top of the dash and seats.
In addition to the new 2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe Edition, next year’s SUV portfolio also includes another retro-inspired variant to match: the Free Wheeling Package, which harkens back to a somewhat popular look from yesteryear.
The Stroppe Edition model replaces the Wildtrak in the trim level range; Everglades and Heritage Limited are gone; an add-on package for the Big Bend replaces Black Diamond. The Base model makes a comeback after a one-year hiatus.
At least for the four-door variant with the 10-speed automatic transmission, the 2025 Ford Bronco lineup gains a 12-inch digital gauge cluster inside the cockpit as standard equipment and rear HVAC vents that have been moved from the floor to the rear of the center console.
2025 Ford Bronco Interior
The Bronco, available with two or four doors, soft tops or hardtops, and removable body panels, provides the same open-air options that make the Wrangler appealing to outdoor enthusiasts. The Ford’s cabin features a few more improvements than the Jeep’s. For example, the Bronco includes a rack built into the top of the dashboard that can be used to mount iPhones and GoPros. It also includes frameless doors that can be easily removed.
However, its lengthy side glass can snag the weatherstripping and let more wind noise into the cabin. Nonetheless, the extended-wheelbase four-door vehicles have enough space on board to accommodate all four doors. Because the external mirrors are placed at the windscreen’s base, they remain functional when the doors are removed. When exposed to the weather, the cabin can be protected by the optional rubberized flooring and marine-grade vinyl upholstery.
Those who prefer a more upscale setting can select leather seating surfaces, although the interior’s large expanses of plastic seem cheap on higher trims. Even with the two-door Bronco, the back seat is spacious enough to accommodate two persons comfortably. The four-door variant adds a third middle seat in the back and has slightly additional legroom, but most of its extra length goes to the cargo compartment, which is more than 50% larger than the two-door.

Inside, the Bronco Sport has a good look and some sought-after features. The little vehicle also offers plenty of clever ideas and surprising space.
Despite its shorter wheelbase than the Escape, the mini Bronco offers an upright seating position and ample rear legroom. The sloping roofline at the rear provides more headroom and enough cargo space to fit two mountain bikes.

The 2025 Ford Bronco has a good level of comfort. It is more comfortable on the road than the comparable Jeep Wrangler, its direct competitor. The Bronco’s seats have better support and enough adjustability to reduce fatigue on long highway drives.
