While the 2024 Crown Victoria retains its classic silhouette, Ford has given it a modern twist with sleek lines and aerodynamic enhancements.

The redesigned front grille exudes confidence, while the LED headlights and taillights add a touch of sophistication. The overall result is a car that pays homage to its predecessors while embracing a contemporary design language.

2024 Crown Victoria Review

We are very happy to be able to review the New 2024 Crown Victoria because Ford is fully responsible for many legendary cars, including the Crown Victoria. From 1979 to 2011, the Crown Victoria was part of the Ford lineup. It was a four-door full-size car based on the Ford Panther platform.

Its most famous use was as a police interceptor, and Ford produced police Crown Victorias throughout its production run. We’ve always wondered what a modern version would look like, and now we have the answer thanks to HotCars digital artist Rostislav Prokop.

This modern take on Victoria’s Crown was created by a brilliant presenter. The 2024 Ford Crown Victoria, incorporates modern design cues but remains as close to the previous generation as possible.

Prokop has modernized the new Crown Victoria in areas such as lights and general design, but nostalgic details such as the placement of the Ford logo help the new Crown Victoria pay homage to its past.

The sedan has grown in size since its last version, and Prokop has done an excellent job of capturing the spirit of the original Crown Victoria.

  • The 2024 Ford Crown Victoria rendering captures the current look while paying homage to its legendary forefather.
  • The new Crown Victoria is larger, with modern LED lights and a streamlined body.
  • The resurrected Crown Victoria could have an EcoBoost V6 or Coyote V8 engine, providing tremendous performance.

Ford Crown Victoria 2024

We all know that the only passenger car left on Ford’s US list is the 2022 Ford Mustang, with a base MSRP of $27,470. Otherwise, it’s all crossovers, SUVs, and trucks.

And frankly, not everyone is excited about it, though the Blue Oval automaker offers no fewer than eight crossover SUVs and eight truck and van models to meet any potential demand. And that’s without taking into account the variety of commercial vehicles. Unfortunately, some people would still like to see a passenger car or two return.

Naturally, there are many potential suspects for such a resurrection case. And, according to the virtual artist best known as automotive.ai on social media, who has curated another of his beloved CGI model mashup series, we should all take the Crown Vic swing from time to time. Don’t worry, many pixel masters do just that.

Only this CGI expert is more prolific than any other, and his return to digital life is loved (or feared, depending on which side of the long arm of the law you stand on).

Full-size sedans come in a variety of vantage points and designs. ideas So most people can legitimately call this virtual Ford Taurus a digital Mustang, especially considering the four-door body treatment and styling of the front fascia.

But of course, not all of them have universal approval, so we’d better pick a few favorites, right? Naturally, a navy back with lots of chrome is a fan-favorite idea, and the dark gray Victorian Crown and Police Interceptor specs look bad enough to earn our CGI pass.

2024 Crown Victoria Redesign

Previously, Ford continued to reject low-performance passenger cars, at least in America, because the company had not yet abandoned them in favor of new, high-performance vehicles in other markets. In China, for example, the Blue Oval still offers several similar vehicles, such as the tiny Focus and the mid-size Mondeo (formerly known as the Fusion in the United States).

They’ve dropped several well-known brands over the years with no intention of bringing them back (at least for now), including the Fiesta, once a popular proposition in the subcompact market, competing with the Volkswagen Polo, Hyundai i20, Opel/Vauxhall Corsa and Renault Clio. The Crown Victoria is another vehicle that has been phased out and is unlikely to return.

Since the late 1970s, when they began producing the LTD Crown Victoria, the automaker has had a special relationship with this moniker. Its successor, known as the Ford Crown Victoria, was introduced in 1991 and remained in production until 1997. The gauge between the axles was 114.4 inches (2,906 mm), almost as large as the modern G60-generation BMW 5 Series, and shared many nuts and bolts with the Mercury Grand Marquis and Lincoln Town Car.

The second generation Crown Vic debuted for the 1997 model year and lasted until 2012. Its wheelbase increased slightly to 114.7 inches (2,913 mm), and it was powered by a 4.6-liter modular V8 engine. There are two automatic transmission options, both with four gears. The Crown Vic Police Interceptor, which replaced its predecessor, entered service for the 1999 model year, and the latter rolled off the assembly line in August 2011. The second-generation Crown Vic was also available in short and long-wheelbase configurations, and the car was also exported to the Middle East.

The Ford Crown Vic has been out of production for over a decade, while speculation has circulated that the nameplate may be revived during this period. The Dearborn automaker has made it clear that it has no intention of doing that, but that hasn’t stopped rendering artists from imagining it in a variety of outfits. One of the latest digital revivals comes from Instagram user jlord8, who imagined a Crown Victoria based on the Bentley Flying Spur. It still maintains the main design of the premium sedan that competes with the Rolls-Royce Ghost, but gets a new face with new headlights and the Blue Oval emblem on the grille.

This digital illustration, in our opinion, looks more like a new Lincoln Continental than a Crown Victoria, and it’s always interesting to see an American land yacht, even if it’s just a simple drawing. Do you like the layout?

New LED Taillights Light Up The Rear End

The rear of the Crown Victoria has been heavily modified by Prokop, and this is where it differs from the original vehicle. Prokop retained the previous Crown Victoria’s vertical taillight design. However, like the headlights, these are modern LEDs that don’t appear to be integrated into the bodywork like the previous taillights. The new design eliminates the panels on the back, making the back of the Crown Victoria much flatter and squarer than before.

The back of the Crown Victoria does curve to the side, but it is less noticeable than on previous models. Another feature that has changed from the previous generation is the exhaust configuration. An oval-shaped exhaust is visible at the bottom of the rear, adding an athletic character to this revitalized model. The lights on both sides of the HotCars license plate are a great feature on the rear. This may be a reverse light or even a turn signal, and be in an odd location. That’s one way Prokop modernized his design.

  • The new Crown Victoria is equipped with LED lights at the front and rear. Prokop’s 2024 Ford Crown Victoria is larger than the previous model.
  • Prokop has given his Crown Victoria a sleek styling, and the new car could have an EcoBoost V6 under the hood.

Under the hood, the 2024 Ford Crown Victoria boasts a strong lineup of engines. The standard model comes equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine, which makes an impressive 300 horsepower. For those looking for even more power, an optional 5.0-liter V8 engine is available, producing a staggering 400 horsepower.

With its rear-wheel drive configuration and smooth-shifting transmission, the Crown Victoria promises an exhilarating driving experience.

Step inside the 2024 Crown Victoria and you will be greeted by a refined and luxurious interior. The cabin offers ample space for both driver and passengers, with high-quality materials and meticulous craftsmanship throughout.

The infotainment system features a user-friendly interface, which seamlessly integrates with smartphone connectivity and advanced security features. Ford has also prioritized comfort, with plush seats and a range of customizable options to suit individual preferences.

2024 Ford Crown Victoria Exterior

The exterior of the 2024 Crown Victoria displays the timeless elegance that made this vehicle an icon. Flowing lines and bold curves create a sense of sophistication, while chrome accents add a touch of luxury. With a choice of striking paint colors, including Midnight Black, Royal Blue, and Pearl White, Crown Victoria allows drivers to express their style.

2024 Ford Crown Victoria Engine

Ford has equipped the 2024 Crown Victoria with advanced engine technology that delivers power and efficiency. The V6 engine variant offers impressive fuel economy, allowing for longer trips with fewer stops at the pump.

The V8 engine, on the other hand, provides exhilarating acceleration and an engrossing driving experience. Whichever engine option you choose, the Crown Victoria offers a winning combination of power and efficiency.

2024 Crown Victoria Performance

Modern sedans, like cars in general, increased in size in the 1990s. Prokop’s latest renders capture the increase in size, with the new car looking bigger and chunkier than its predecessor.

Prokop gave the Crown Victoria a large, wide grille with the Ford symbol in the center. Fewer Fords in the current lineup have the logo in this location, with thin, eyebrow-style headlamps on either side of the grille. This is a new LED unit, a significant upgrade from the previous Crown Victoria.

The front view of this sedan shows how wide the sedan is. The arch stretches at the front and back. The fenders curve over much larger tires and wheels, which have a more aggressive and sporty design. Despite its larger size, the 2018 Crown Victoria is a beautiful vehicle with smooth curves and clean lines throughout the body. There are no bulges or curves to disrupt the flow of the design, and the vehicle looks luxurious and sporty.

The sleek line styling is evident in the side profile, with only a thin black stripe at the bottom of the doors interrupting the flow. The sides are quite attractive and blend seamlessly with the front and rear panels. The rear panel has a larger bulge than the front, and the Crown Victoria has large rear wheel arches.

The rear view conveys this effectively and gives the sedan an aggressive and intimidating appearance without detracting from Crown Victoria’s overall refinement. The rear is one location where the car is significantly different from the original.

This Revived Crown Victoria Could Have V6 Or V8 Power

Apart from that, Ford has several alternatives to power Crown Victoria. Since the previous two generations of the Crown Victoria were powered by a 4.6-liter V8 engine, Ford was able to opt for a naturally aspirated Coyote V8 taken from the 2024 Mustang for their new sedan. However, with recent cars opting for turbocharged and V6 engines, this might work, as the Ford GT supercar has a V6 engine.

The turbocharged V6 engine in question is the EcoBoost powerplant found in many blue oval cars. We’ll be using the 3.5-liter engine available in the 2023 F-150 Raptor pickup at this level. With 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque, this engine is more than enough for the new Crown Vic.

The Original Crown Victoria Was A Famous Police Interceptor

The Crown Victoria was recently named the “best police cruiser of all time” by Forbes. The reasons behind this are performance, reliability, and cost. The police interceptor variant uses the same V8 engine as the original production car, providing plenty of power for high-speed pursuits.

Crown Victorias can fetch very high prices. Classic.com lists the sedan’s lowest sales price at $2,000, but the highest sales figure at $48,396. The Crown Victoria that sold for more than $48,000 on Bring a Trailer was a restored version powered by a Cobra-sourced 4.6-liter V8 engine.
