2023 Ford Mustang Hybrid V8

Ford plans to produce about 18 hybrid vehicles by 2022, and the next-generation Mustang will likely be equipped with a hybrid V8. We were able to take a few snaps of what appears to be a very early test mule for the next-generation Ford Mustang (S650).

Obviously based on the current S550 Mustang GT, this prototype wears light camouflage on the front along with various parts from the current Mustang variants: the lower splitter and side skirts of the new Mach 1, dual-ended dual exhausts are an option on the GT and EcoBoost models, while the wheels are from Mach 1 Handling Pack.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of this test mule is the implementation of the rear brakes: while the “standard” Mustang GT has small rear calipers mounted at the “rear” of the rotor, this mule places much larger calipers at the “front”. the end of the rotor, with the little parking brake at the “back”.
