2026 Ford F150: The future is exciting as the next full redesign for the Ford F-150 is scheduled for sometime in 2026, according to industry news source Automotive News.
However, Ford officials have not revealed any details about the next generation of the F-150 at this time, so we believe the prediction is likely based on the 5-year update cycle since the last complete overhaul of the truck.
Introduced in 2021, the current generation of the F-150 remains somewhat modern in Ford’s portfolio. While the pickup initially served a more general purpose for the automaker’s portfolio, the return of the Ranger in 2019 helped meet the demand for a smaller truck.
Now, the Ford F-150 Lightning provides a means to have incredible power with zero emissions.
While the specs for the F-150 facelift have not been revealed, Ford is likely looking to achieve the ideal blend of fuel economy and performance.
That said, the business isn’t holding back on producing incredible horsepower. Most recently, the 700-horsepower F-150 Raptor R was added late for the 2023 model year.
The next F-150 overhaul is reportedly coming in 2026, which is apparently just a projection based on the standard 5-year cycle. While there will likely be a lot of speculation about when the rebuilt F-150 will go on sale, it’s unknown if the new truck will be a 2026 model or even a 2027 model year car.
Ford is intent on changing its approach to car buying, and we know this. Earlier in 2022, the company told dealers that it intended to cut 80% or more of the available configurations.
As such, the chances of finding a next-generation F-150 at your local dealership could be slim, leading buyers to order from the factory and wait.

2026 Ford F150 Raptor
The 2026 Ford F150 loves the chance to speed across sand dunes and launch itself into the air whenever possible, just as its designers intended.
Powered by a 450-horsepower, twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 bolted to a 10-speed automatic transmission, it rides on a physics-defying, Raptor-exclusive long-travel suspension that combines available Fox Dual Live Valve dampers and standard 35-inch tires (37-inch tires are available).
Using the same formula and swapping out the 720-hp supercharged V-8, the Raptor R makes 37-inch tires standard and even bumps the original Raptor’s 8,200-pound tow rating to 8,700 pounds. Besides all that, the enthusiasm and speed with which these trucks tackle off-road challenges is simply infectious.
After a busy 2024 with revised cosmetics, optional Fox Dual Live Valve shocks, larger front tow hooks and redesigned headlights, the 2026 Ford F150 Raptor looks set to continue without much significant change.
2026 Ford F150 Interior
On the inside, the 2026 Ford F150 Raptor appears to be the same passenger size and cabin layout as the standard F-150 SuperCrew. In addition to better materials, the high-performance model comes standard with a 12.0-inch digital instrument cluster and extra interior storage capacity.
The steering wheel features a race-car-style orange marking at the 12 o’clock position and laser-etched emblems; bold aluminum paddle shifters are hidden beneath the spokes.
In addition to the basic aluminum interior trim, the 2026 Ford F150 Raptor will likely also come with optional carbon fiber accents and reinforced Recaro front buckets.
Entertainment
The 2026 Ford F150 is also expected to feature a large 12.0-inch touchscreen display that supports the truck’s standard Sync 4 infotainment system that dominates the Raptor’s dashboard. It features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in addition to interactivity with Amazon Alexa and over-the-air updates.
Ford officials added a volume knob and actual tuning to go along with voice commands and steering wheel controls. An 18-speaker B&O sound system is available for anyone looking to enhance the audio experience.
The 2026 Ford F150 Raptor also offers a 2.0 kW portable generator that can run power tools and other equipment.
2026 Ford F150 MPG
While the EPA has yet to release fuel-efficiency statistics for the latest 2026 Ford F150 model, we have no reason to think those numbers will be different from the 2024 model. That means the Raptor gets 14 mpg city and 18 mpg highway.
The V-8-powered Raptor R gets an estimated 10 mpg city and 15 mpg highway on gas. Completing our 75-mph highway fuel-efficiency test, the Raptor R with 37-inch tires got 15 mpg.

2026 Ford F150 Engine
Under the hood of the 2026 Ford F150 is Ford’s familiar high-revving 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6. While its output may pale in comparison to the roar of a V-8, it breathes through a 3.0-inch exhaust system that produces a deep V-6 growl.
We’re betting the 2026 Ford F150 will still feature conventional all-wheel drive, with the V-6 paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission to send power to all four wheels. One even more formidable predator is the Raptor R. The T version is configured for 720 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque, and it uses the supercharged 5.2-liter V-8 from the Shelby GT500.
In addition to the chassis upgrades, a range of 17-inch wheels and 35-inch tires, the Raptor is also available with a set of 37-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 all-terrain tires, which give the vehicle greater approach, departure and breakover angles.
As standard with the 37s, the Raptor R gains 1.1 inches of ground clearance, lifting the rear end 13.0 inches above the ground. Every Raptor rides on a five-link rear coil spring system and a sophisticated suspension that includes Fox internal-bypass dampers.
Only customers with the 37s, however, get Fox Dual Live Value shocks with continuously variable rebound control. Tuned by the folks at Ford Performance, the dampers offer a smoother, more intelligent ride.
Payload
Currently, the top towing capacity of the regular Raptor is 8,200 pounds, the Ford F-150 Raptor R can tow up to 8,700 pounds.
For both, the maximum payload is 1,400 pounds. When you compare them to the specs of the regular F-150, you’ll find that the Raptor has given up some payload capacity for its off-road prowess.
The F-150 with the 400-hp twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 can tow up to 14,000 pounds; the F-150 with the 5.0-liter V-8 moves 13,000 pounds; and the hybrid model can tow up to 12,700.
In non-Raptor form, payload capacities range from 1,840 to 3,250 pounds. However, those variants certainly don’t have the coolness of the 2026 Ford F150 Raptor.
0-60 MPH Times
Our latest V-6 Raptor tested reached 60 mph in 5.2 seconds. In approximately three.6 seconds, the Raptor R we tested rocketed to sixty mph.
2026 Ford F150 Price
Ford only sells the F-150 Raptor in the SuperCrew crew-cab body style, in Ford speak. Choosing between the more affordable twin-turbo V-6 Raptor or the big-engined V-8 Raptor R is a tough call.
Objectively, the data shows that the Raptor R’s base price is about 40 percent more than the “regular” Raptor’s base price. However, the R also makes about 55 percent more horsepower. It’s a solid choice if blistering acceleration and peak performance are your goals.
Opting for the R package also gets you Raptor R badging, apps and graphics. It also opens up other possibilities, including the Raptor Carbon Fiber line. The highlight is the incredible roar of that supercharged V-8.
We expect the new 2026 Ford F150 to start at $80,900, with pricing for the 2025 Ford F-150 Raptor rising to $112,725 based on trim and options.

2026 Ford F150 Release Date
